Adrian will analyse the Chancellor's Budget statement, which will be made on Wednesday 15 March. We will look at the announcement from the perspective of local government, in particular, the implications for the funding of the sector in future years. Any specific local government announcements will also be picked up (e.g. business rates reliefs, new specific funding streams).
Dan will take a closer look at recent stories about the possible s114s and government intervention at authorities with high levels of borrowing. He will look more broadly at the accounts data to get behind the stories, and to get a view about the general financial year of the sector.
