We will look in-depth at the consultation paper (responses by 12 February 2025) and consider what this tells us about ministers’ priorities for 2026-27. And we will give you some pointers about how to respond to the consultation.
Our modelling already includes forecasts for the potential outcome of the funding reforms. These are largely based on the 2018 consultation paper, although we have updated these forecasts for more-recent data, and the current government’s priorities. We will discuss how these forecasts might change over the next 12 months, and how authorities should prepare for the outcome of the reforms in their budgets.
