Annual Conference 2024
Institute of Directors (IOD), 116 Pall Mall, London SW1Y 5ED
Starts: Thu 12th September 2024, 9.00 am
Ends: Thu 12th September 2024, 4.30 pm
A new government will need to make decisions about future funding for local government, the way that funding is distributed, and potentially reform of local government funding. The outcome of these decisions will have profound implications for the financial health of individual local authorities – and the sector collectively.
In this conference we will bring together a range of experts in local government funding and the public finances more generally. Our objective is to try to understand how a new government might approach these important decisions – and what this might mean for local authorities’ finances. We have brought in speakers with different types of expertise so that we can get a rounded picture.
The conference will be chaired by Adrian Jenkins (Pixel Financial Management) and by Dan Bates (LG Improve).
